Our Story

About Matheteuo

A ministry built on one simple, radical call — to make disciples of the One who is worthy of everything.

The Name

What Does Matheteuo Mean?

Matheteuo (μαθητεύω) is the Greek word used in Matthew 28:19 — "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations." It is the Great Commission in a single word.

Our name is our mission. Everything we do — the daily devotionals, the Bible studies, the Sunday services, the prayer meetings — flows from this one calling: to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

We are not a program. We are not a building. We are a people committed to following Jesus and helping others do the same.

Leadership

Pastor James

Pastor James leads Matheteuo with a heart for discipleship and a passion for the Word of God. Every single day, he records a devotional — bringing Scripture to life for believers wherever they are.

His daily devotionals are available on YouTube, and he leads Bible study meetings at the church throughout the week. His teaching is grounded, practical, and always pointing back to Jesus.

If you need prayer, counsel, or just want to talk about your faith, Pastor James and the Matheteuo family are here for you. Call us at 609-442-4375.
